TASKS

The association FBiG eV has set itself the task to facilitate the training of young people after the Gambian education through the creation and establishment of a vocational school with apprenticeship completion.

Our mission is to build a boarding school, vocational school with an attached first aid station, staff building, kitchen building with a canteen, sleeping houses, as well as sanitary and toilet facility for approximately 50-100 apprentices and set up. The Gambian youths are involved with civil construction. Thus, the practical lessons can jump start the young people know where they work and learn directly from the set of foreign experts.

For this work long-term unemployed German skilled workers (masons to carpenters, roofers, electricians and plumbers, etc.) are used that do not yet want to retire from the work process, enjoy working with young people and are still open for new tasks. If possible, a basic knowledge of English should be available, but these are not mandatory.

Discussions on incentive measures with the competent employment must be kept. Further training of these skilled workers to become trainers for AEVO is sought. (Trainer Aptitude Regulation)

Early drop German youths can be involved in this training opportunity. You may be offered the opportunity to learn with gambiaschen youth by training a new perspective to their own social behavior. The very simple lifestyle in Africa and competent counseling, will help them see themselves and their environment to social criticism. Their own behavior, which she has fallen in Germany in massive problems, they should learn to correct these measures themselves. Targeted therapy, these young people can return to their usual environment for re-integrated.
Long-term stays, as well as professional qualifications that are recognized in Germany, will be possible for these youths.

To this end, discussions with the relevant youth services have lead to social educators and psychologists are asked about this issue and are committed to. The employment is for employment seekers, social workers and psychologists to ask and obtain the necessary subsidies.

To fulfill these tasks, many steps are necessary, much patience is required, but above all we need to achieve these tasks, the necessary funds. Therefore, preparations must be taken to apply for funding and technical resources to collect.

Every little amount helps, even materials that are needed for the facility shall be collected. Here is thrown away so much that can be used in the Gambia for a long time. The transportation of these supplies must be organized. It can be transported by land or by boat via container.

For these costs subsidies for federal, state and the EU must be sought. However, one quarter of the funds for school construction and transportation costs as evidenced by its own resources (donations and contribution).

Contact one of the major German aid organizations is necessary for the application of tools, but also for information and assistance in implementation. In Gambia, the ASB (Workers' Samaritan Federation) is active.
